This was the SMS I received a few days ago from my daughter, Karel, after she received the products I sent.  An SMS that will warm any parent’s heart, and make a networker’s heart sing, anytime, anywhere!

To receive an expression of gratitude and love from those you love most is always wonderful. To do so because you shared products that you love with them – products that make a difference, products that improve their well-being, products that they themselves have grown to love – makes it even more wonderful.

I must say, it took many months before Karel even tried out my products. No matter what I said, she just didn’t see the value or the need.

Going to the dark side

For Earth Hour, in the past, I would join the initiative on my own, or with my kids at home. This year, I decided to do my part to increase awareness of the climate change issue by inviting my Facebook friends to do the same. And to better connect with those who participated, I created my own version of the “I Will If You Will” challenge.

So how did it go? We had good ol’ family fun as we chowed down on homestyle comfort food – finger-licking good! Then we played our favorite dinner table game, Pinoy Henyo (much like 20 Questions) after which we took to the street for a game of Agawan Base (similar to Capture the Flag) under the moonlight.
